18 May 2008&& "all you do is knit"
Put up a new layout. I was kind of getting sick of the last one... I did nothing today, except knit.
I feel like I am getting no where with this knitting project. When I first found out Jesse was pregnant in October, I knew I wanted to make something for the baby, because when Grandma B. was around she was the homemade gift giver and she had just past away.
So I had this wonderful idea to teach myself to knit. Nobody in my family knows how to knit so I ran to JoAnn Fabrics and bought a book that teachs children how to knit. I thought it would be easier to understand but nooooooo it's not... so thankfully there is you tube..
So I learned how to knit and made a couple of dish clothes before I finally attempted to do a bigger project. I wanted to make the baby a blanket! I was all excited I even found an easy pattern to follow.
I started that November. Then exams started in December so I put it away for a while.. Then I picked it up again and realized the yarn I was using was not soft enough for a baby. So I went and bought new yarn and restarted! I finished two of my rows and put the project away because I got a job and focused on that for a while.
Then about a month ago I realized that the baby was coming in less than a month and my blanket was no where complete. So I started working on my strips again.
Then about a week ago I decided I didn't like that project at all and found a new pattern. So I have started over with this stupid blanket for Blaine atleast three times. Blaine will be two weeks old tomorrow, and this is all I have completed.

Each color is 20 rows and 150 stiches and I am using size 9 needles.. I honestly don't think I stuck to the pattern, but I don't care. I need to finish Blaine's blanket. Maybe it will be complete when he is 7..
